1971 Rickman Enfield number 108 of 136 produced. Sold through Elite Motors in London as a complete bike and this one was owned by Dick Laplant - tuner and distributor for Royal Enfield in Southern California. 5900 miles from new and ridden on antique plates. Pictures taken after 150 mile ride. Cylinder base gaskets and push rod tubes replaced at 5500 miles and re-sealed. Motor is very torquey and does not smoke. Shifts well. Brakes and suspension work well. Headlight switch is intermittent. I am the third owner and am only selling to finance a house repair of epic proportions. Alloy tank shown on the bike is a work of art. I will also include the original fiber glass tank that is in decent shape, long with the correct emblems,Rickman chain adjustment shim set, nd owners manual. Metal Profile forks are smooth and work well as do the Girling shocks. Ignition updated to a Boyer electronic. Manufacture date 6/1971. This is a very nice example. When looking to buy one several years ago, rarely found one that was in running condition and they were all priced much beyond my reserve. This is a 370 pound motorcycle that does not act its age - very nice handling - similar to a round case Ducati 750, xcept lighter and with more torque. Frame is chrome-moly and nickel plated with no breaks, epairs or damage. I have several bikes to sell and this one is in running order - so it goes first. Always kept inside and always cared for. I have an open title for it and will give a Bill of Sale to the buyer. US sales only. Will meet with shipper for pick up locally.
