STUNNING ROYAL ENFIELD BULLET 350

Look at this beauty. I said I would keep this for a long time but as usual I have spent ages getting it to just how i want it and then I am bored with nothing to do so need to move on to another bike. This is a 1997 machine which is a far nicer looker than the new ones with there updated unit construction engines. disc brakes and fuel injection and massive super ugly and quiet silencers etc. I wanted to make it look and sound like it came from the 60's or early 70's and give it a sharper look. more "sporting" than "old man plodder" !The horrible square profile mudguards are gone and now fitted are smart slimmer black ones and i have also got rid of the big back light and number plate mounting and fitted brand new period 60's style jobs. ( indicators/light/number plate kept in case someone wanted to re-fit them )The air box has been dumped and a sports filter fitted. this looks great as without the box you get a clean view through the bike and can see the air filter and the frame and i have polished up an alloy coil.  The ugly quiet silencer has been replaced with an old. but great condition. Dunstall Power silencer i have had sitting on a shelf for a long time just waiting for the right bike to come along. Looks the business and now the bike sounds like you are in the 60's and not the p. c. wind farming over regulated. "I know my rights". present!I have fitted some nicer slightly wider handlebars and a new stainless steel clamp.  Period smaller motorcycle AA badge fitted and the tall mirrors replaced with a neat smaller item. Nice chrome headlamp peak fitted. The only thing I have not done to make the bike look like it was older is replace the handlebar switches. i have left these as a new owner may want to re-fit the indicators. I was going to replace them with older style gear but was waiting until I found a suitable 1960's registration number to transfer to the bike. then it would be very hard for anyone to date the bike as modern. The bike would then look genuine 60's but you would have the advantage of a newish bike without all the old hassles of leaky poorly restored British stuff that you can never rely on to get you there and back! That was the plan anyway so the new owner could do so if he wanted. The registration plate is double sided. black and silver on one side and yellow and black on the other. Nice bit of chequer striping on the side panels and this bike also has the rubber tank pads and a nice gold pinstripe pattern. Both tyres have superb tread and are of an appropriate older style tread patternBrand new battery just fitted today. You would not believe how many hours I spent polishing up the metalwork. from the oil feed lines to the cylinder head down to every single spoke. all done by hand. Just look at those spokes. they are not chrome or stainless steel. they are the standard metal spokes that i have polished individually with wire wool and metal polish and i think they look better as new spokes look too bling and false.  The overall impression of the bike is of a superb looking well preserved older bike and has a far more appealing patina than an over restored old bike or a spangly new one. It is taxed and tested until next May and I have the V5 and handbook. It sounds beautiful . there is some smoke on start up after standing but it soon clears and there is the slightest dent on top of the tank but hardly noticeable and not worth bothering about unless you were entering the concourse event!The only other fault I can think of is that it doesn't leak a pool of oil all over the floor like a proper old British built bike would have done. them bloody Indians have put the damn thing together too good !Come and have a look with pleasure. About my  business in motorcycles.  I specialise in classic and used machine projects as you will see if you look at the items i usually have for sale. often ones that have not been used for years. when i get them in i give them a look over. describe them as i see them and list them on ebay. I don't work on them to prepare them for retail sale and use. basically i just don't have the time and you buy them as they are. described to the best of my ability. and you are welcome to bring a mechanic to check over and that is the reason i can sell them at such bargain prices. As you would expect with used machines. nbsp;unless i can prove with appropriate paperwork. i never guarantee mileages. Also. different people judge things differently. my description is my opinion after many years experience of  motorcycles and you may view things differently so view the bike. or send a representative. nbsp;before you buy. as i will not be responsible if you buy the bike unseen as i may well have missed something you consider was worth a mention. Believe it or not. some people expect untouched perfect showroom new when buying older items at vastly reduced prices compared with a new item!  Please bare this in mind when buying.
