For sale is 1925 Model 5 Light Solo Short Stroke 3£ hp side valve. A mid-1920s' sporting machine for the fan of Marston's original 'square-stroke' engine (85 x 88 mm). It was produced by combining the Longstroke's lighter sporting frame. gearbox and cycle parts with the Standard's shorter stroked engine. This 3 speed hand change model. is an original bike which has undergone an older restoration that has now settled down to a beautiful bike. not an over restored bike dripping in new nickel !!!! The Sunbeam retains many of it original features including originals levers and seat. It is currently sorned and was last used on the road to compete in the 2013 Banbury Run which it completed easily. The machine is an easy starter and runs well. V5 is present and in my name. This is a highly desirable machine that rarely comes to the market. An ideal candidate for pre 1930 VMCC runs.
