1990 Suzuki DR250s (SJ44a) Bought to go greenlaning after watching Mondo Enduro :) . but I went so infrequently the bike has just sat around I got some 17" wheels and tyres and used it as a supermoto and commuted on it for a while in an attempt to justify owning it. but the time has come to let it go and be used more frequently Comes with a spare engine. but I'd say only the bottom end and gearbox is re-usable (top end worn out) Comes with loads of other spares and will need a large car or van to take it all away (upside down forks. ear shock. carb. clocks. pegs. kick start. enduro headlight. modified GS500 17" wheels . brake hanger adapters and chain if you want to use it in supermoto mode!- the tyres both need replacing as they are getting low on tread which is why I have put the knbblies back on. it all swaps over without having to touch the brake lines so its pretty drama free to swap over. no brake bleeding required - takes me about 1/2 hr to swap) It comes with a Clymer workshop manual in English and a manual for this exact model - but its all in Japanese - some nice diagrams though It also comes with a MX lift stand to service the bike on (handy for swapping wheels over) Has heated grips (adjustable temperature) and alloy braced handguards It comes with a scottoiler I put oversized foot pegs on as the originals were too small for my feet (It comes with both) Comes with the lower frame guards (not that easy to get hold of these days) Toolbox has basic tools and a spare plug in a waterproof case I replaced the tin numberplate for a flexible enduro plastic one. has pillion pegs fitted (not shown in photo) I replaced the front disk on the enduro wheels with a brand new one and bought some new pads for it (will fit them before auctions end) It currently has a digital dash fitted (Trail Tech Vapor) with magnets on both sets of wheels (I also have the original analog dash and wheel box. but it only fits the enduro wheels) I replaced the enduro headlight with a round lamp from a CB250 as I needed more light (It comes with both sets of lights) MOT is due end of the month as is tax Will put a fresh MOT on it if required Have V5 for it (in my name) and keys There's some receipts for it as well from when I bought it a few years ago Bad points One of the mirrors glass is cracked (bike blew over in the wind) Paint work is tired (as expected of a greenlaning machine of this age) Front pipe is quite scabby (rear half is stainless though) It can be tricky to start sometimes. othertimes it starts easily (maybe its just me) Headlight rim has rust spots If you happen to have size 10 ish feet I can throw in some 'used a couple of times only' not even broken in enduro boots and a lid and goggles I will be sad to see this bike go. but I'm getting too old to be falling off bikes and can't justify keeping her if its not getting used Will add more photo's when I get chance at digging through the pile of spares for it and get some recent ones of it in daylight I can deliver the bike locally if needed Been asked a few odd questions already No it does not power wheelie on throttle
On 20-Jan-15 at 21:05:35 GMT. seller added the following information:Just an update. have updated the photos to show how as it stands as of today - and included photos of the digital display and heated grips and the cracked mirrorIf there are any other photos you would like please let me know. I will try and gather together the extra bits it comes with and add photo's to the listing on ThursdayI have just put new pads in the front. the original pads were not worn out - but I did it anyway because it is a brand new disk and it deserves a new set of pads :DI will give the "old" pads with the machine as they are no where near worn out and have bedded in nicely to the supermoto disk and is only a 5 min job to swap overThe awkwardness to start from cold seems to be related to me turning the petcock off when the bike is not in use(I tested by leaving the fuel tap on today as an experiment and it started in 1 or 2 kicks when I tested at lunch and when I set off for home)When the machine is warm it does start easy with 1 or 2 kicks. every time I keep getting asked how much I want for this bike and partsAs there is now a bid and there's no reserve. its going to run to the end and it will make what it makes. so please place a bid rather than ask a question I do not yet know the answer to :)Good luck :D
