Description

Welcome to my auction for my RGV 250/XR 600 Single Cylinder RacerI built the bike around 7 years ago and used it a few times at Cadwell Park. It was very fast with the gearing it is running. and handled beautifully.  I am only selling due to moving house and I have to sell a few projects otherwise I would keep it as I put alot of time. effort and money into this bike.  The motor is a XR 600 which I built myself and professionally bored out 700cc and fitted with a piston to matchThe kickstart shaft has been taken out and blanked offThe manifold has been welded by me converting it to a single carb arrangement but you can put a standard manifold back on and run it on twin carbsThe oil would usually be in the frame on an XR 600 because it's a dry sump so with no where for it to go so I welded an oil container out of alloy for the oil to return and circulateIt has high strength hoses fitted for the oil arrangmentThe rear shock is from a Suzuki 750 SRAD and works very wellIt has a custom made exhaust system which I tig weldedAlso my homemade rear sets and gear change leverQuick release fairing. it can be off in a matter of secondsThe front forks were shorted by me to improve handlingThe brake calipers are 4 pot and are also from a Suzuki SRAD 750Braided brake hosesFront mounted oil coolerCustom alloy exhaust canThe bike needs to be bump started. for this I used rollers which I drove my van onto to start the bike as it is not easy to bump it offAll the fairings were specially made for this bikeIt is missing a couple of parts which I used over the years. it definetley needs a throttle and cable. It doesn't have a single carb currently but I have the original twin carb somewhere which I will try and dig outThe brakes need stripping and servicing to free them off because the bike has been stood for a number of yearsI started the bike around a year ago and it ran. it was leaking abit of oil from somewhere but this is common with dry sump engines that have not been started in years when the oil starts circulating again. It might need a new rocker gasket as it looked like it was coming from the top of the engine. It is a great project which is all there. it only need a few Sundays to get it ready again for the track.  Please call 07425174657 with any questions you may have or to arrange a viewingCash or bank transfer on collection pleaseHappy bidding !Andy
