Description

You are viewing ( and hopefully bidding on) my 2006 Triumph Scrambler. I purchased back in 2008 from the original owner who had put just under 500 miles on it. He was a "Harley Guy" who drew ridicule from his riding buddies for having the Triumph. which apparently garnered  far more attention than his riding mate's Harleys costing tens of thousands of dollars more !  Ha ! His loss was my gain. Fast forward eight years to 2014. Still have my beloved Scrambler. My girlfriend loved the Scrambler so much. she also bought one. And for the past several years we have been a two-Triumph family.  As we have " a few" other motorcycles in our stable. The Scrambler.  has alas. been HIGHLY under ridden . To date she has not even hit 3000 miles. Eight years. 3000 miles. You do the math. Less than 375 a year. Truly a shame. However. it remains one of my all-time favorite bikes owned and certainly one of my most enjoyable "project" bikes. My Scrambler is loosely based on one of my favorite periods for Triumphs. The 60's. Have long loved the 60's ISDT bikes and Desert Sleds I grew up around. So here she is. What many refer to as Triumph's "Modern Classics". Modern performance with retro styling. In 2006. all Scramblers/Bonnevilles out of Hinkley. England were carbureted. Today they are EFI Electronic Fuel Injected. I have ridden both. and much prefer my twin carbureted version. Together with new billet intake manifolds. air box mods/twin K& N air filters. one-off exhaust system and proper jetting. this Scrambler runs VERY strong. Even though I have not put it on a dyno . the seat of my pants tells me the intake/exhaust/tuning has yielded another 15-20% from the stock. Cali-Smog-Equipped version. The sorted motor combined with larger diameter British Customs stainless steel headers and Norman Hyde TOGA mufflers produce a sound unlike any other twin. This particular Scrambler sounds absolutely awesome. Guaranteed to make even the most savvy moto rider's hair stand up on the back of their neck.  Below is the long list of modifications from stock. If you add it all up. It is thousands and thousands of dollars. No regrets. Enjoyed every nut and bolt of this project. So. If you are looking for a Scrambler. you obviously have several options. 1) Buy new and spend additional thousands modifying as you like. Or. 2) Buy used. Perhaps higher mileage and more owners than you'd like. And sort it/modify it yourself. Or 3) Purchase a rare-hard-to-find- low-mileage used one (like this) that incorporates many modifications you would probably end up doing yourself. Hope you enjoy how this Scrambler turned out. Thanks for checking it out. And taking the time to read my ramblings about her. Time to find her an appreciative new owner who will ride her way more than I have time to. Best of luck if you choose to bid.

*Please note. If you bid and you have less than 10 feedback score. I will block and/or NOT accept your bid. Just send me a message explaining your situation. I'll work with you. However. if you don't contact me first. I will NOT accept your bid and will BLOCK you from further bidding.
