Triumph T140D US SpecialMy friends and family can't believe I'm selling this. I've owned it for 20 years (yes that's right 20). I always wanted one. right from school. all my school books had T140 & the Triumph logo penned onto them. I spent ages finding one. and this is the one I wanted. I've had loads of fun. spent loads on it but it has to goIts one of the last Meridian Bonneville's with all the add-ons such as discs front and back. electronic igntion. latest Amals. oil in frame. Lester alloy wheels etc all the good bits before the factory went bump and we all bought rice burnersIts had a fortune spent on it. see belowits an absolute blast to ride. although i've owned various bikes in the last 20 years its this one that i kept. and riding it to the MOT station this week i remember why. i've not ridden it without coming back with a smile on my face. sad to see it go£ ohh yesDont expect a Japanese rival it wont do 150mph. but you will be surprised its light weight and very nimble and loads of funI'm selling it as I've been made redundant. something has to go and the dog is worth as muchIts not a standard/concourse bike. its had some cosmetic changes from std such as powder coated frame. stainless steel rear mud guard. tombstone rear light. 2" extenders in front forks (gives it a bit more hot rod attitude). some chrome bits and lots of stainless fittings here and there. all could be changed back to std if you wanted to go that route. but i like it as it is and it gets loads of attention where ever i park itI've not used it nearly as much as i should have. its not been out in the rain for the past 20 years and its always been garagedIts had a FULL professional engine build (receipts to prove) less than 1000 miles ago only just completed the running in. inc rebore shells oil pump cams. lead free head conversion. full carb rebuild etc etc etc (cost over 2K and was carried out by a Triumph specialist in Essex who was THE man)New tyres (Avon TT100's of course)New front master cylinder (stainless steel)New batteryNew Exhausts (non std twin pipes and '60's silencers)Brake pads F&RFork seals etc etc etcIts got a full MOT from this week all ready to get on and rideI know its not the right time of year to sell it and it could be worth more in the spring/summer but i had no choices with the redundancy and it has to goThe photos show it with a personalised reg in it. THIS IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE. i am open to offers and would be happy to accept offers of a lot less than the £1750 that that the reg has been valued at. just to get some cash in and save the hassle of swapping it over (it should be an M reg)I'm quite firm on the price but am open to offers if you want to be cheekyCome and have a look. i'm at WR6. by Worcester. you'll not be disappointed No space cowboys. tyre kickers or players please keep it real or i'll keep the bike and live of ham sandwiches till i get a jobComes with a free tube of Solvol Autosol for hours of winter funEmail or phone me any questions
