Vehicle description By combining the new electric start Bonneville with a special pain job. Triumph created anoher along the same theme as the silver Jubilee. This time the new model. ubbed the Bonnevillehonoured the wedding of the Prince Charles and Diana. By this tim the compay no longer fitted the shaped tanks built in England to Bonneville thus the Royal came with the tank secured another firm. combined with a stepped seat and chrome fenders. There were only 50 machins actually built exported to the United States apparently just called RoyalThey came with black and double gold stripes. Th top half o the engine was black and the crankcase unpainted. Either Spoked or Morris wheels were provided with a double front discs The last full production year. 1982 they fitted Maroccci rear suspension unitsand front forks with blacksliders The bike was one of five expprted to U S A. The person apparently theat urchased it apparently did nt get on wth it and it was bought and shipped back to Uk. The unique thing is it was then taken up by Rare Classics magazine as a project Feachure in cooperation with Tri-cor a very experienced Triumph specialist. I have all thee editions the bike was features in. The basis as can the last of the Bonnies be improved. I can categorically state they managed is in spades. I have had a Triumph tiger 750 1981 which is amost identical to this Bonne Royal ES and I know the difference. in ride . With the ike I have the original parts that Tri-cor changed. for the purists if they wsh to change it back. but to be honest I do not know why they would want to go back to the previous ride characturistics. Ihave a lot of oher spares with it too numerous to list. The easiest thing I can do is to photo them as a whole. I have a full hitoy of the bike n details including all the export inport papers etc for Providence. This is a Very rare T140ES Feachred in Rear Classices Magazie For three months. One of the last 50 made. Sent to the USA. Returned to Britain and Taken in hand by Tricor. With the idea by Rear Classics Can the ast of the line be improved. Tricor did it I have has a standard Tiger 750 1981. The riding caracturistics of this bike is beyond beleif. The bike is a dream to ride. The alteraions made by Tricor are excelent. I will include the original parts for the purists among us. Milage is 3838 Miesgenuine low mileage. Iam sellig through health and will be very sad to see it go. Please no time waisters. this bike is worth every penny. eBay Turbo Lister
