1979 Yamaha XS Special 650

You are bidding on a father and son project. This bike was built as a great summer cruiser and a fantastic driver. The bike recently passed New York State inspection.Unfortunatelywe have too many projects to keep this one. I have decided to focus on my car and my dad would like to rebuild his other bike. This wasoriginally red but had a dented gas tank and banged up side covers. We had an extra tank with matching side covers so we threw them on. The seat is in excellent condition. The overall condition of the bike is good. It has somepitting on the chrome but nothing horrible.The bike has kick andelectric start. Front and rear disc brakes. The bike also has mag wheels. The bike starts and runs fine. Only on cold starts there is a little backfire. The kick seems weak. The spring maybe worn,but we will include a new one with the auction.
