1988 Yamaha DT50 Completely Restored

   Up for sale is a very meticulously restored Yamaha DT50.  This is an every nut and bolt restoration.  The project started out as a complete low mileage bike. 250 miles on the original odometer. However it spent a lot of years outside.  So it was pretty rough.  I spent four years and thousands of dollars collecting parts before the restoration was started.  Parts were acquired from all over the globe.  An extensive file was kept with all records of the parts that were replaced.  I started this project to see how far I could take it because I had found that it was a pretty rare bike. and very unique. It is currently registered in california and does have a salvage title. but after some DMV research could not figure out why.  It looks as though it was a salvage title from the very beginning. the only damage it had was the luggage rack was bent like it fell over backwards off of something.  Thats all I could find wrong with it.  After complete disassembly. of the entire bike. everything was either rebuilt or replaced with NOS parts.   Just to name a few. new carb. nbsp;air box . front and rear fenders. side covers. meters. handle bar switches. rims. spokes. tires. ll cables. iring harness. and many other.  The engine was completely taken apart and rebuilt with all yamaha parts by a professional  vintage  motorcycle  technician. Everything works as it should. all turn signal lights. warning lights. headlight. tail light. kickstand safety switch.  This little beauty looks as though it just rolled of the assembly line.   Very fun little run around bike or great to add to a collection.
