1975 Yamaha XS650

Here we have the much sought after 1975 Yamaha XS650B. Frame number 447-50**** engine number 447-80****I bought this a few years ago and have just got round to registering it and putting it on the road. It has not been restored. I have just given it a thorough clean and replaced the parts required to get it through an MOT. It has had new points. new brake pads. new fork seals and dust covers. new battery and a new drive chain. It is of German or Swiss origin as can be seen by the longer rear mudguard and a different shaped rear light. The rear indicators are in the correct position for these countries. Both mudguards are original. The front is the twin disc European type mudguard. It's not perfect but these are extremely rare now. As can be seen the clocks and idiot light are original and are in kilometres. The petrol filler cap is correct for the year. The exhausts are also original albeit with a few dings and scrapes but they are absolutely solid with no rust. The downpipes have really good chrome with no rust. The engine has been rebuilt by the previous owner and runs fine although the starter motor does not kick in. The spokes are bright with no rust and they too look original. I have had to replace the right side panel so it is plain black. It could also do with a relacement clutch cable as it is old and quite stiff to operate. All in all it is a very nice bike to restore or ride as it is. You don't see many 75 models so it will only appreciate in value. Cash on collection please.
