Yamaha FJ1200 (3CV)

Here i'm selling a yamaha FJ1200 (3CV) It is on a H plate and comes with two keys. V5 Registration document in my name and a tatty Haynes manual. I only bought this bike a month ago to build a Winter hack with. but my trike needs loads of money spending on it first. so it has to go. The engine starts easily with a booster pack (I don't have a battery for it) and runs fine except for one cylinder stuttering a bit. so it will need the carbs cleaning as it has been stood for a while. The back end has been shortened to make it a single-seater and doesn't look bad for it. Aftermarket mini-indicators are fitted. The bodywork is presentable. but with scratches on the fairing and fairing cowls. The screen is discoloured but intact. The tyres are less than half-worn Metzelers. and the front discs are good with recent pads. by the look of it. Braided s/s hoses are fitted front. The fork seals are weeping so will need replacing for the MoT test. The rear disc is an almost-new aftermarket cast-iron item. but the rear calliper is shot. and will need a rebuild or replacement (the calliper is a common fitment on a lot of Yamahas of this period). The Neta exhaust system is sound and not blowing. and a Scottoiler is fitted. This bike is sold for spares or repairs. but should be easy and cheap to get back on the road. What you see is what you get. so please come and view the bike if you are unsure of anything. but no test rides as it is not currently road-worth (rear calliper is not properly fitted).
