1978 Yamaha SR500 Cafe Racer

Selling 1978 Yamaha SR500.   Bought it as a project bike a while back and just don't have the time to play with it.   The bike does start but want to point out the following:

- there is drag on the front brakes so I think it needs a bleed or new pads

- there is drag on the clutch so it might need new clutch plates.   I have a new set that I was going to install and will include it in the sale

- part of the front windshield broke off - you can see it in  the pics.   If you were to trim the opposite side of the windscreen to match I don't think you would even notice.

The fairing. tank and seat were painstakingly installed and for anybody who has done this you know the time it can take to get a good fit.   Bike could be enjoyed as is with a good tune-up or would make a great winter project.

The bike is being sold as is and is ultimately 30 years old - but see my feedback on the past bikes I have sold to be confident in my description.   I have the clear title in my name.

Local pickup preferred but am willing to ship if seller deals with all shipping arrangements and costs and can complete the pickup with 7 days of sale.   With buy it now price - I can also assist with local delivery if you are within 15 miles of my home (07450).
