Do not miss this!!!I am selling my brilliant Aprilia Caponord in preparation for a round the world bicycle trip in early 2015. Much as it pains me to let go of this awesome motorcycle. it is time to sell up and ship out. so here's the lowdown:The bike is set up for touring in comfort and (ahem) at pace! For those in the know. these bikes are vastly underrated and on the road knock spots off the BMW GS range of bikes at prices that the ?ˆ?Ewen McGregor wannabes?ˆ™ cannot comprehend!The bike has the RSV V Twin Mille engine remapped and tuned for low-down and mid-range grunt. It tops out at 140 and still pulls from low revs. Torque is what makes these bikes so effective and lovely to ride. Compared to other big trailies. this compares with the best (e. g. Africa Twin) ?ˆ“ in fact this kicks harder. has better brakes and suspension. That said. you may not want to off-road it in earnest. but gravel tracks etc are fine. The bike has been set up with the following additions:Aprilia crash barsHandguards and handlebar cross braceErmax tall screen (and original screen)Givi 44 litre topbox & rackGivi side pannier railsDatatool System 3 alarm / immobiliserLeo Vince exhaust end-cans. even with baffles in these sound deliciously obnoxious:) original end-cans also included. Small rear indicators (the standard big indicators were forever catching on the panniers)Full manuals. tool kit. two sets of original keys / alarm fobs etcMichelin Anakee tyres front and rear ?ˆ“ one of the best trailee style tyres but good lifespan and still very grippy on the road. Plenty of life left in them ?ˆ“ more than enough for this winter. Bike has just been MOT?ˆ™d (till Sept 2015 ?ˆ“ no advisory information). last serviced around 4000 miles ago. Taxed until the end of Oct 2014. All the above items are included in the Buy it Now price. If the bike meets its reserve only then all the items except the alarm and the end cans will be removed and I will sell them separately.  NB:  I also have Touratech Zega cases (aluminium box panniers). with Zega bag liners and full Aprilia Caponord fitting kit. which I am selling separately - NOT included in this auction or Buy it now (separate listing forthcoming).  All in all this is a well maintained and much-loved go-anywhere. do-anything bike. that I would not sell unless I was off on my travels. I certainly won?ˆ™t get for it what it is worth to me! Overall. excepting a few scratches. tarnishing and minor corrosion (if only Aprilia would make the spoke nipples stainless!) here and there - as you would expect for a bike of this age -  it is in very good condition and I am confident that any new owner will be very happy. Now for the boring but unfortunately necessary bit. as there are timewasters / numpties out there in eBay-land. I am NOT interested in Wstn Union payments. shipping the bike to Nigeria or taking anything in part exchange. including your cows. chickens or grandmother. Sorry. I am not that scary really (unless I get mucked about). but genuine eBayers wiull understand.
