BMW 1973 R75/5 Toaster SWB, Low Miles - REFURBISHED

Up for auction is a 1973 R75/5 true Toaster with matching numbers and low mileage that has been completely refurbished.
First, have been riding, ervicing, epairing, nd restoring Airheads since 1982. I personally have ridden over 450,000 miles on Airheads. I list my services as an Independent BMW Mechanic on IBMWR's website for the state of Indiana. All work performed on this bike was done by myself in my shop. The only outside service was the pin striping which was done professionally by Billy Jay in New Palestine, N.
As the photos indicate, this project started with totally stripping the bike to a bare frame. From that point, t was my intentions for this bike to appear as if it was showroom fresh and mechanically in excellent condition. The details and labor that went into this project are too numerous to list so I will cover the basics.
FRAME - totally repainted with engine enamel for oil and gas resistance. New neck bearings.
FENDERS/TANK - repainted with pure lacquer and hand rubbed. Professionally pin striped
MOTOR - totally disassembled and inspected. Motor has all new gaskets and seals including rear main. Pistons were fitted with new rings. A new timing chain was installed. Heads were tested for leak down and left alone.
TRANS/CLUTCH - thoroughly inspected, kay as is. I most generally do not open transmissions unless they are over 75,000 miles or have known issues
WHEELS - both front and rear were completely taken apart. Hubs bead blasted, ew bearings and seals. Also installed new spokes.
ELECTRICAL - new main wiring harness. New battery, tarter relay. Starter inspected, ll good.
IGNITION - the coils are original, ll is else is new.
FINAL DRIVE - rear splines are around 75%
BRAKES - new shoes on front, ear shoes were cleaned
CHARGING - new regulator
SUSPENSION - front forks and rear shocks were totally disassembled, nspected, leaned and put back together.
TIRES - new
CARBURETORS - rebuilt with new gaskets and diaphragms, br>COSMETICALLY - new mirrors, as cap, ll rubber items, ables, adging, xhaust, ub caps, ool roll, wners manual, hop towel, orrect tire pump
Every component of this bike was inspected, leaned, eplaced, ead blasted and repainted as necessary. I am a purist however I did take the liberty of installing the short bars which gives the bike a sport appearance. BMW did not offer a sport version of the /5, his is my interpretation if they did.
Everything on this bike functions as it should! I have put only 6 miles on it since the rebuild and it starts well, uns, hifts, nd brakes the way it should. All fluids have been changed since the 6 miles of riding. The only thing it needs is more miles!
