This Airhead was in long term ownership with it's previous owner in Arizona. Since acquiring the motorcycle I have performed basicmaintenance, hanging all the fluids etc, urrently running Motul SAE50. She is wearing new tires and battery. The bike currently shows 38,385 original miles and is confirmed on the title. I have had many old BMW airheads and this one is as nice as they come, t's tight and agile, omfortable and rewarding. Mileage will increase with daily use. The transmission shifts smoothly and the engine runs steady and balanced. There is no smoke from the rear pipes. All of the electrics function as they should. Start up is an uncomplicated process, ift the choke to max, as on, it the electric start button and it fires first time every time. Being an older bike, give her a second or two to warm up before letting off the choke and heading off.
This BMW is in completely stock original condition. There's a real provenance to that with so many customs flying around at the moment. Retaining the original seat and subframe allows you to carry a passenger with ease, y girlfriend and I have taken many trips up and down the PCH together on this bike. That being said, do build custom motorcycles and if there's anything you want to change, hat's certainly something we can discuss.
