Description

I have decided to sell my 1953 BSA B32 only because I have been offered a Commando. which I rather fancy. I have only owned this bike for a couple of months. and have ridden it to a couple of shows and rallies (winning best classic at one event). but it is a bit slow for me. and I have other bikes to ride which I prefer. 1953 was the first year of the swinging-arm frame (frame number its BB32 273**). and the ZB32 (number ZB32 224**) all-alloy engine is in a soft state of tune. so is easy to start. but not very exciting to ride! The engine can be easily tuned to Gold Star spec if required. Lots of new parts fitted. including re-built wheels with new tyres. headlamp. cables all round. silencer and down pipe. chain. seat. shocks and brake shoes in the Ariel hubs (possible off a later model bike. but very good brakes though). Rebuilt gearbox and clutch. reconditioned magneto. dynamo and Amal 276 carburetor. Cosmetic condition is presentable. but not perfect. and the engine leaks a little oil from the top end. but a very rideable bike. never the less. MoT and tax exempt. of course. and classic insurance makes this a cheap bike to run. I have the V5C in my name. but it is registered as a B31 for some reason (although the frame and engine number are correct). the body type is motorcycle combination (it previously had a chair fitted). and the taxation class is historic vehicle. The registration number is the reclaimed original one. so is probably not transferable. although it doesn't say so on the V5C. Usual eBay stuff applies. You bid to buy. not haggle later. No swaps or deals thanks. as I need the cash for the Commando. Viewing is highly recommended. but no test ride without a large wad of cash as a deposit. and proof of your licence and insurance. for obvious legal reasons. I reserve the right to end the listing early. as the bike is advertised elsewhere. Cash on collection or cleared funds before release. Local delivery is possible for the cost of fuel. but please ask first. To fund the Commando I am also selling a few of my other bikes. They are a 1962 BSA A65 chopper project and 1946 Triumph 3T rigid which are listed on eBay separately. I also have a very clean 2003 Triumph Speed Triple 955i and a 2012 Tiger Explorer 1200 which are advertised elsewhere. Basically. two of them have to go to fund the Commando.
