Harley 1984 Sportster XR1000, 1755 miles, excellent condition

On offer is one 1984 Harley Davidson XR1000, 755 miles, elieved to be original, inished in original gray paint. Has just finished an extensive refurbishing, ot a restoration. Many NOS parts used, ourced from Harley Davidson dealers obsolete stock; miscellaneous nuts, olts, ubbers and hoses/ fuel line replaced; all chrome redone; swing arm, hain cover, ear fender mount, andlebars, attery tray and cover are newly powder coated. Fastener finishes have been respected, here are no bright zinc replated parts unless they were NOS. Carburetors rebuilt using all new Dell' Orto parts, astings vapor blasted. Tires, arley marked Dunlops, re approximately 4 years old, hain under 4 years old, attery under one year old. Leather tool bag on front fork is included. All decals present and NOS original. Included but not installed is a pillion seat, OS. All original fasteners, ittings, earings, hocks, tc. are included in the offer. left and right OEM mirrors are included (not pictured)
Sale also includes all original manuals, wner's manual and supplement, arts, ervice manuals - all are new, ot reproduced, n wrappers. Some dealer literature pertaining to the XR model is original but in photocopy form from Harley Davidson. Also including Jerry Branch tuning manual, bit greasy but original. Sale also includes large stock of NOS parts, oxed, ncluding mufflers and shields, pare seat, ew Jerry Branch intake manifolds for Mikuni flatslides, tc. approximate value $1500.Bike in heated indoor storage, ll work done to Harley specs, ncluding torques. Last run in fall 2014 before work was commenced, ank drained, arbs rebuilt, ot run since refurbishing completed December 2015. Also included will be a flash drive with all rebuild and assembly photographs included.
In the completion of the bike, ew OEM Harley race pipes were installed, hey are absolutely original, ook like the stock mufflers but have no sound baffles. Huge sound. Also installed are a pair of Koni dial adjustable race shocks, eriod correct, ebuilt with new valves, ubbers, nubbers, eproduced Koni decals on the shock bodies. Also installed is a Telefix front fork brace, erman made and marked "Screaming Eagle" for the XR. Footpegs are race spec, eveled and hinged. These are extremely rare parts, ut were common on the XR's actually raced. The XR was sold new at Oak Lawn Harley Davidson, n Oak Lawn, llinois, n original "dip dot" was located and is now on the bike's dip stick. Using the VIN, ny interested bidder can research the bike through the Harley Davidson authentication service in Milwaukee.
The machine is located in Illinois, ith a clear Illinois title, erms are cash in hand or collected funds to seller before shipping. I will ship overseas for an additional $500 over the transaction price or the bike can be picked up in Illinois.Domestic delivery can be done through your choice of shipper and some arrangement may also be made with me to transport the bike to the buyer for expenses. Overseas buyers should be sure to check on import duties which can be extremely high; this will not be the sellers responsibility in any way.
