1947 HARLEY DAVIDSON WL FLATHEAD 45 SOLO RESTORED RUNNING

Up for auction is a 1947 Harley Davidson WL Solo.  This bike underwent a complete restoration in 1984-1985. I have a photo album documenting the process.  The bike was sold to Thurnall's Harley Davidson in 1996.  I purchased the bike in 2005 and it has been stored in my climate controlled warehouse since.  We pulled it out this week. cleaned the carburetor and fuel lines and added oil.  I connected a new gel-cell  battery to the bike and it started on the third kick.   Here is a youtube link to the bike being started and running  http://youtu. be/-LgiSdpz3To.  The engine sounds great. The engine has matching belly numbers (45-6569).  The paint has some scratches and chips here and there. It will need a battery and battery box cover.   The tires have some cracks. 16" rear 18" front. The bike appears to be original. with the exception of the headlight and possibly some minor parts. The shift mechanism will need some adjustment. When in neutral the gate is in 2nd .  I have a large photo album with pictures of the restoration process.  Please look at the pictures carefully. we will be happy to answer any questions you have.   

The bike comes with a clear Kentucky title in my name.  

A $500 paypal deposit will be required within 48 hours of the auction's end.   The balance will be paid in cash at the time of pickup.   I will accept other payments as long as the funds clear before the bike leaves my shop.   I have sold several bikes to Japan and Australia and will be happy to assist in any way I can.   Shipping arrangements are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
