1978 Honda CX500 9months MOT

For Sale1978 Honda CX500Ive owned this since March and used it for commuting during the Summer. Selling now because of the weather. and I've moved from the suburbs. with a garage. into the town. and i'd rather not have it parked on the road all winter. MOT until Sept 2015Taxed until end of November (though this is no longer relevant) Bad pointsThe last time I rode it a few weeks ago. the throttle cable broke. its the 'pull' cable. so this will need dealing with before the new owner can ride it away. The battery doesn't charge. this started being a problem in the last couple of months. since then I've just been charging the battery every week for the weeks commute. Possibly a problem with the stator or regulator/rectifier but I haven't looked into it. I'll make sure the battery is fully charged when new owner comes to pick it up. When it's got charge it starts first time. Advisory on MOT was regarding corroded exhaust. This is quite common on these.  Speedometer/odometer cable is broken. so mileage is questionable. but I'd put it around 50000. Good pointsNew Bridgestone rear tyre at last MOT so nearly new and loads of tread. Front is Continental with lots of tread. Will include bolt on panniers and top box which I think are probably as old as the bike. Top box has a key but panniers are unlockable. Top Box is fitted. Engine wise. it hasn't let me down at all. its just the electrics that need attention. Looking for fast sale. nbsp;Cash on collection preferred.
