1970 Kawasaki F8 250 Enduro for restoration

1970 Kawasaki F8 250 Enduro for restoration. As imported from the USA. All taxes PaidAge dating certificate too. Change of project plans mean it up for sale exactly as it came into the country-not messed with. I have restored a 125 version and when buying parts for that also did a 'bulk purchase' of a few odds and sods for the 250 so it comes with a couple of new parts:-New seat coverNew petrol tap seals. In addition. s I had to seal and internally coat the petrol tank on my 125 I also did  the same with the 250 as the kit gives enough sealant for 2 tanks. That saves an unpleasant job to be honest!!Condition:-Engine.  Not run at all but good compression and turns freely without any horrendous graunching noises.                            The kick start stop is not working and the rebounding kick start arm has cracked the outside casing-see photo-and that will need alloy welding repair.                            Slots into all gears. Chrome work. Forks are pitted. ossibly salvagable but not convinced at this stage. They would need removing and checking over                           Wheel rims. well. original and not too bad at all.                            Shocks. again original and I am certain if removed and inspected are pretty good.                            Bars. nice aftermarket(from USA) bars with good levers etc. Electrics. All there(not that they come with a lot(this year F8 did not come with indicators). Nice switchgear. ights etc.                            Both speedo (showing 8000m) and revcounter seem fine. Exhaust. The good thing about two strokes of course---Perfect!!Frame. I would have powdercoated this as I did with my 125. as you will know the results will be amazing. Certainly no problems with the frame. Overall a nice un-abused example of a 45 year old import ready for restoration. The price of disc valve Kawasaki two strokes is only going to go one way.
