JW's Dream Machines was once one of the premier restorers of Vintage Japanese Motorcycles in the USA. My son and I have brought back over 50 Japanese bikes from the grave in just three years of being in business. Alas. time moves on and Jerod. my son. is now employed as a personal mechanic for a serious collector and I have moved up north and am now retired. We still have a few bikes left over in our inventory that we never got around to restoring. This KZ1300 barn find is one of those bikes and its time to get it into someones hands that will get her cleaned up and back on the road againThis first year 6 cyl was Kawasaki's answer to the CBX. We found this bike locally on Craigs LIst. A one owner that has been sitting in the original owners garage. under a cover. since 1986. The guy that sold it to me explained that this bikes belonged to his uncle. he road it for a few years and then just put it away and never road it again. He recently passed away and his widow asked her nephew to sell it. How could I pass on this deal? It has a guaranteed 4. 76 original miles and could be a $15. 00 bike with a experienced and skilled restorer in charge. We may have never got around to restoring it but we did start the process of buying parts and starting the process that it would need for the restoration. I recovered the seat with a NOS cover. ultrasonic cleaned the carbs. we bought a new front tire. battery. replacement muffler for the rusted original. plus many other parts that are pictured including an extra carb. You can take this project as far as you want too. My plan was to clean it up. get it put back together (the original owner had put a full dress faring and bags on it. the nephew took them off before selling it to me). get it running and ride it. But I'll never get around to restoring this bike. I don't have the drive. passion and ambition that I used to have. and I don't have my son around to help me either. So. I'm going to accept my losses and sell it for what ever it will bring. starting at . 99 cents with no reserve. The bike has the signed undated title from the original owners. What you see is what you get. it is a rolling chassis at this point. I've never tried to start it and although the nephew told me the engine is free. I don't really know for sure. When are you going to find another super low mileage 70's superbike like this one? It will clean up and somebody is going to have one heck of a collectable bike on their hands.
