1986 Kawasaki Ninja GPZ900R

A true survivor from the beginning of sport bike history! The bike runs. rides and has a good clean title!! Modifications - you know the really good stuff;The bike runs and rides great! The battery is about a year old and I have just mounted some brand new Shinko 006 podiums tires on the beast with less than a 100 miles on them so far for that superior grip. Pingel Petcock replaced the oem vacuum assisted petcock. yay no more vacuum leaks!Equipped with Keihin CR Special Racing Carburetors tuned and synched for your throttling desires.  The suspensions is stiff for harder riding. forks are equipped with a fork brace and a steering stabilizer for making it a real bullet on rails or slicing through the corners like a real ninja. Manual cooling fan switch for when your getting it hot ripping around town like Top Gun. Hyabusa Hindle muffler for making it sound as "bad a s s" as it really is! Even equipped with a manual cam chain tensioner for keeping this great running motor as smooth as silk. Originally a south american race bike out of the panama. supposedly. still has the cool 1987 registration stickers on it! Its more than likely an old BASE bike that one of our service man of the USA took down and back with him/her. Did I say race bike? Yeah supposedly the motor is bored out too having ridden it for a few hundred miles now it does seem to really come to life after third gear kicks in but again I cant confirm that it is actually bored out or not. I haven't raced it or participated any of that crazy speed stuff but it gets there really quick. ;) Some other good and bad stuff;Low profile bike and would easily accommodate shorter people or smaller stature people where I am comfortable on it for about an hour and Im about 6-2. but that is a lot of weight on the my wrist and strain on my tired back. The paint is ok but the clear is cracking on the tank. The tank does have some small dings. no rust and the plastics have small cracks here and there but nothing to really take away from the great looking bike. Windscreen has a crack and is still in working condition via some mc related stickers. It will need a new chain. front and rear sprockets for next seasons riding adventures.  It does not need anything to be ridden right now and everything works as it should. Oh and there has been a recent new starter clutch installed. It is the earliest member of the Kawasaki Ninja family of sport bikes. The 1984 GPZ900R (or ZX900A-1) was a revolutionary design that became the immediate predecessor of the modern-day sport bike. Developed in secret over six years. it was the world's first 16-valve liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder motorcycle engine. years ahead of rival manufacturers' efforts. The 908 cc four-cylinder engine delivered 115 bhp (86 kW). allowing the bike to reach speeds of 151 mph (243 km/h). making it the first stock road bike to exceed 150 mph.
