For sale is my Father’s 1930 Triumph NSD motorcycle. I am selling it on his behalf due to his ill-health.
He has been building this bike for a number of years and as you can see from the photographs it is nearly complete.
It is a 1930 model NSD with the 550cc side valve “sloper” engine and I am told that this particular model was only made in 1930/1.
There is some paperwork that goes with the bike including details of an engine/gearbox/clutch rebuild totalling ?1520.
Other work that I am aware of that has been done is as follows:
Tank professionally painted
Frame & forks painted
Both wheels rebuilt with new rims/spokes/tyres
New fishtail silencer
New chains x 3
Magneto checked over
New/replica seat fitted
Frame and engine numbers are present but there is no V5 nor is there any trace of the original registration number on the number plates nor within any of the documentation.
The only significant thing that I can see that is missing from the bike is a section of exhaust pipe to join the down pipe to the silencer. There is a rear stand (which I didn’t fit for the photos as I am sure it is not original and it appears to be a home-made rather crudely bolted together strip metal affair. There is clearly other work still to be done to the bike to get it roadworthy – control cables & battery needed. some painting. etc.
Potential bidders are strongly encouraged to come and view the bike before auction end as I am keen that the winning bidder is totally aware of what he is purchasing and please bear in mind that I may not have listed all work/parts needed.

I am located in Liskeard in SE Cornwall – some 25 mins west of Plymouth.
The bike is to be collected by the winning bidder within 10 days of auction end. A 10% deposit is to be made via Paypal within 48 hours of auction end with the balance paid in cash on collection.
