1982 Yamaha IT250

Hello. have up for auction a very clean 1982 Yamaha IT250. I purchased this bike only a few months ago as an impulse buy but do not need it. My intentions were to just to ride it on the trails locally in the spring and summer but I have many other things on my plate right now and am looking to liquidate. This bike is all original except for possibly the tires but they may also be original. The bike needs a couple minor things. The lighting is all there and worked but now is not working and they occasionally flicker so I am thinking it may be the wiring. The lenses are good and the plastic is all original. The right panel has a crack in it that was repaired some time ago but isn't too bad. I only road the bike a few times and one of the carburetor screws was lost while riding it which causes the bike to have a hard time idling. I do not believe the top end has ever been apart and from the looks of the bike. it supports it. The tank and front headlight plastic are in real nice shape. The side panels. with the exception of the cracked right one. are also in nice shape. The bike is very fast. I am 6 foot 2 1/2 inches tall and weigh 235 lbs and the bike came right up in the air in first and second gear as if no one was on it! This is a clean original and does not looked to have been abused. I bought it from the friend of the original owner and he claimed that the bike has no more than 1280 actual miles. This could be especially when you look at the plastic and the tank and also the pipe is in great original condition with the factory matte black finish still nice. But remember. this is a 33 year old bike and is not perfect and I have only ridden it a few times and what I have described here is 100% what I know about it. I think with a little cleaning and the carburetor screw replaced. it would be a great. reliable enduro bike for trails or vintage competition. Please ask any questions and bid with confidence.
