1979 yamaha it 400 enduro restoration project

my 1979 it 400. some people may recognise this bike from a few months ago when i ended the auction early due to a private buyer who wanted the bike so badly he made a very good offer then messed me about for weeks and never actually turned up to even look at the bike. for this reason the bike is NOT for sale anywhere else and will run to the end of the auction. there is a reserve which i will not divulge so please don't ask. i got this yam from a mate in may 2007. he imported it the end of 2005 and registered it beginning of 2006. it has spent all my ownership at the back of my garage so has no tax or mot. it is in quite good condition for a 35 year old bike. mostly original apart from rear mudguard. silencer and  has been wired for a brake light with a 9 volt battery in the toolbag. i fired the bike up yesterday and had a quick blast down the lane. i suspect carb will need a clean out as engine died just as i got back but started up again after being stood a minute or so and sounds sweet . forgot how wick these bikes are and how easily the front wheel comes up. (think i did the wide eyes) there is a small tear on the bottom of the seat cover. plastics are good as are wheels and tyres. i am selling as a restoration project but i don't think it would take much to mot and ride as is if you wanted to. complete with v5 and some other paperwork. two owners on v5 and good "IT" reg number. if you are looking for a classic enduro/crosser to restore or as an investment. no messers please and if you are able to view. please do so. any questions. please ask. winner to make contact within 24 hours and collect within a week unless otherwise agreed. cash on collection only please.
