DESCRIPTION & VIDEOThis lovely old 1979 Yamaha XS650E twin has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life ?ˆ“ the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to machinery than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 3125 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES. As you can see this bike is very nearly complete missing just the mirrors. Sadly the silencers are both slightly dented on the sides. BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS. The bike is stunning and every bit as nice as it looks here. The wheels are straight with nice clean deep alloy rims. good hubs. brake plate. disc. caliper & working master cylinder. Forks & yokes are straight with good chrome. Mudguards are both solid & tidy. Tail light assy is good as are the headlight & hangers. Instruments & switches look great. Fuel tank & side panels are solid & tank is squeaky clean inside with just minor marks & scratches in the original paint. Carburetors are free sliding off the twist grip. Exhaust system is original & solid. Seat is in very good condition throughout. Chain guard is tidy. Shox are damping fine. The engine is asthetically beautifull & cosmetically very clean. it turns over nicely off the kick starter ?ˆ“ sounds/feels great & has compression ?ˆ“ When we fitted a good battery & fed it fresh fuel it starts runs & rides ?ˆ“ Please see the video attached. We HAVE NOT got the Certificate of title but we will provide proof that the VAT & Duty is paid on the NOVA system.

REGISTRATION

1. You need to get the bike MOT?ˆ™d.

2. You need to prove the year of manufacture in writing. Phone Yamaha UK customer services on 01932 358000 with the Model. frame & engine Numbers for a small fee they will send you a letter confirming the age.

3. You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on the chassis number.

4. Send all this paper work to the DVLA. who will charge you ??55 for the 1st registration & the current amount for the road tax.

5. The DVLA will send you your age related registration number.
