YAMAHA XJR400 (Project)A classic looking muscle retro Bike that the UK Market never had. but only the Japanese Domestic had this rare model. And this bike was Imported from Japan in 2000It was made in 1995.  38. 93 Kilometres (Approx 23. 00 miles) A customer of ours bought this in April. and wanted us to fully strip it. fit a single seat cafe racer style and paint virtually everything. and replace all the seal. bearings. tyres. fluids etc. etc. all ready for that Sunday "Retro Cafe Racer" pub lunch! (Originally the bike was Yellow!)  It was taxed . tested and had been used daily and was in a very high standard / condition. hence why he wanted to modify a great bike to begin with rather than one that required too much work. However I'm not sure if it's the cold weather . but he's decided to sell this now! as he has too many other projects! He also has another one of these in Yellow with the original two seater style. which is also for Sale! (See other listing)Everything was stripped back to a bare frame then the following was done:  - Engine. Frame painted- Powdercoated Chrome finish Cam Cover- Pedals. Brackets. etc. all powdercoated in Black- 2 Brand New piggy back style telescopic shock absorbers & Chrome Springs- Brand NEw Engine & Axle Sprockets & O Ring Chain- Forks stripped. painted legs and new seals and Oil- Wheels stripped back to bare metal & powdercoated Storm Grey - 2 Brand new Michelin Road Sport 3 Tyres fitted with aluminium valves- 2 Brand NEw Twin discs & Sintered Sport Pads- Rear disc (original). cleaned and painted centre- NEw Brake pads and fluid all round- All 3 Brembo (Rare model) calipers stripped & powdercoated in Satin Black. with new seals / Nickel plated bolts- Carbonline black braided heatshrinked Brake lines and stainless fittings- Frame modified to suit a Rear "Maxton style" single seat unit- Special Bespoke Alcantara stitched seat upholstery made by Bootleg bikes (Preston)- Tank. rear seat and mudguard stripped back to bare metal / plastic and painted and lacquered in a classic Norton style Flat Silver with "Tuning fork" tank decals- Side metal panels powdercoated in Satin Black- Many bolts replaced with stainless - Rear Swingarm Stripped and powdercoated in Black satin with new Bearings- New Renthal handlebars. powdercoated in a grey satin  & New Grips- New clutch plates & Springs .
