BMW R80 TIC Airhead Boxer Twin

Hello and welcome to my auction for my much loved BMW R80. I bought this bike seven years ago as a project. and I've been restoring and improving it ever since. Sadly work and family pressures mean I don't have time for both bikes I own. and I now want to concentrate on  my newer acquisition; hence the Beemer has to go :-(This bike started life as an R80 TIC police special with the Metropolitan Police. I still have the original police fairing and most of its fittings. and they will be included in the sale but will have to be collected from Sheffield where they are in storage. As you can see this bike has had no expense spared. and has been very reliable in service; its great fun to ride. and returns about 50mpg on average.  Cosmetically it would benefit from a professional (or good amateur) paint job; I sprayed it myself with rattle cans. but the finish isn't brilliant.  I've set the reserve below what these bikes are fetching now. as I do need to move the bike on soon so that I can concentrate on my new project. The bike is taxed until the end of November. and tested until July next year. so can be ridden away by the new owner. The bike comes with a pair of genuine Krauser panniers. complete with keys.  as well as a box of used spares. I have two workshop manuals and a BMW Owner's Manual for the bike. which will be included in the sale.
