1932 AJS model T8 excellent runner with V5C doc

Here is a superbly restored example of an early 1930?ˆ™s AJS 500cc OHV twin port single. the T8.

This machine is in superb all round condition. It starts well and sounds awesome! The gearbox and clutch are both  excellent and the brakes are really good too. Handling is superb and this bike pulls like a train! It really goes well though the (three)  gears with bags of low down torque .

The dynamo is charging OK and the electrics are all good.

The speedo drive cable is in need of replacement but the speedometer & drive itself are both in good working order.

The bike comes with V5C registration document.

Registration WSL 660 (transferable) frame number T81197. engine number 63670 match V5C doc. It is declared manufactured 1932. possibly a 1933 model.

The bike is registered for historic (free) road tax and is of course MOT exempt.

Cosmetically the bike is in beautiful condition. It has been repainted to a very high standard with good quality stove enamel.

Wheel rims are both stoved back with stoved black spokes. On the front rim it is possible to read the AJS emblem and MADE IN ENGLAND.

Tyres are as new Avon ribbed Speedmaster front and Avon SM MKII rear.

The exhaust is not in perfect condition. maybe rechromed but quite presentable.

Pin-striping on tank is poor standard. stuck on I think and the AJS emblem is hand painted on not a proper transfer.

The head has one tiny chipped fin and the barrel also. These are only noticeable upon very close inspection.

All in all this is a very well presented nicely restored and sweet running example of a rare 500cc AJS ?ˆ?sloper?ˆ?. Don?ˆ™t miss this opportunity to own a typical handsome machine of the early 1930?ˆ™s.
