1977 KZ1000 SURVIVOR

This a very nice low mile KZ1000LTD in good original condition, it has been in storage for 3 + years so it will need a going through before riding, the fuel was stabilized (it didn't turn into laquer) so it should start without to much drama although you will have to mount front brake calipers, they were off to be honed, they are in working condition now and in the saddlebag. This bike is in good condition (look closely at all the pictures).

In my constant searching for much older Vintage Bikes and Parts I also come across Vintage Japanese Motorcycles on occasion. Not knowing that much about metric bikes and not having enough time for everything I usually resell them "AS" I find them. YOUR GAIN!! I put a fresh battery on this bike and the engine turned just fine. The guy I got it from said he bought it and had a dealer go through it. He may have put 100 miles on it after that but with three young kids and two jobs it ended up sitting. Again, go throught the carbs and you should have a Classic, Fast, Japanese Bike! The Kawasaki Kz1000 or Z1000 is a motorcycle manufactured in Japan by Kawasaki released in September 1976 as a 1977 model to replace the KZ900/Z1 in the Z series. It has an in-line 4-cylinder engine and a 5-speed transmission, in a 'one down and four up' configuration. Producing about 90 hp, it was the fastest production motorcycle of the era.[1]

Just a note about the reason that this motorcycle was relisted. The "winner" and I use the term loosely, of the original auction was a dead beat and never sent the final payment. After many attempts and many excuses and many "the checks in the mail" 's, I canceled the sale.
