Description

This twin-cylinder Suzuki TC-305 Laredo is probably the best you will ever find. Of all the bikes I am selling. I have owned this one probably the shortest amount of time - purchasing it in January. 2011 at the Bonhams and Butterfields motorcycle auction in Las Vegas. I was taken back by its rarity and the high level of its restored condition. The TC-305 Laredo was a very short-lived model and was considered a Scrambler.   Suzuki was wanting to get on the "Scrambler" bandwagon. as it was very popular by the late 60's.    Because Suzuki made an emphasis that it could be used off road. you have the high pipes - and these high pipes (one on each side) is what makes this bike both stunning to look at and unique as well.    I know. it certainly got my attention when I saw it. Its twin two-stroke 305cc motor made a claimed 37 hp and with its six-speed transmission (yes. six speed) it could push the bike to just over 90 mph and do the quarter-mile in 16 seconds. Make no mistake though. the TC-305 was much more of a street bike than an off-road bike. but Suzuki still called it a Scrambler.   It was an assemblage of parts from its parts bin to bridge brief time needed to place proper "off-road" street legal bike in the showrooms.   This was done the following year (1969) with the TS range.   The TS range offered the full gamut of licensed street bikes ranging from the TS-50 Gaucho to the TS-400 Apache.   And all were much much better off-road bikes. This bike runs fantastic and is fun to ride.   Also. imagine being at speed and realizing there is yet a 6th gear.  This TC-305 Laredo was fully restored from a well cared for 11. 00 mile bike.   It is hard to call something perfect - and I will not.   But I cannot find a fault with it - and few others would either. There are "restorations" coming on the market on a regular basis - and all restorations are not created equal.   This TC-305 restoration is of the highest caliber and its mechanical operation is on par with the rest of the bike.  Good luck and thanks for looking. As a side note. I am selling my personal collection of 10 outstanding bikes  -  all in very high end condition.  Feel free to browse my other listings.
