Description

i have for sale my 1957 bsa spitfire scrambler its been painstakenly rebuilt from the ground up over about ten years i had a twin carb head conversion which came in from the states and runs a treat. do have the single bolt on manifold if required . t has new everything. rom the forks springs bushes etc to the chains clutches bearing pistons cam . alves seat etc has correct footrests for 57 and pipes and oil tank and is painted correct red not silver like some on here. hich was a goldstar colour not A10. he magneto was also rebuilt at a large expense . t has dunlop trials universal tyres from and back new chromed british rims and polished stainless spokes. long with stainless case screws through out . as the correct sct 2 gearbox and correct internals(one year only). t was made on 26/7/1956 and is the earliest one i have found maybe its a first one bike£?after all the frame does say ca7a 357£?etc. I keep having people say that it has a 58 engine number. his is incorrect its a matching numbers bike as confirmed by the V M C C these are the numbers that B S A have stamped in the frame and engine was sent out to california in 1956. I did have a problem with it the last time i advertised it with a drive problem. t turned out that the push rod in the clutch had snapped and wedge it sel;f so the clutch wouldnt engage.
