Description

ConditonThe condition is very good.  Everything works as it should.  Wheels are true.  No bent or broken spokes.  Brakes work well.  The clutch doesn't slip on hard acceleration. No smoke.  Sounds great (no funny noises).  Shifts clean.  Doesn't slip out of gear.  Starts one kick if you know the drill.  Excellent compression (110-120 per cylinder. all similar readings). The carbs have been rebuilt and re-sleeved.  Tires have plenty of tread and are soft but side walls are cracked.  Replacement is recommended if your going to use daily.  Small cosmetic imperfections but shows well.  Not a trailer queen.  In the interest of full disclosure; there are mounting holes drilled in the frames top tube.  Either lightening holes to to accomodate different tank positions.           FeaturesCustom made exhaust headersBetor front endTracy fiberglass tank treated for use with Ethanol gas (treatment cost $300. 00. sent out to a specialist who lines tanks for marine applications). Rebuilt re-sleeved Amal carbs.  I have the original carbs as well they have been cleaned too but I was unhappy with their performance.  Good for parts or sell. Hand fabricated aluminum motor mounts and chain guard. Flat tracker barsBates style headlight (I don't think it's a Bates but looks just like one). Fiberglass seat sectionI think the front wheel and brake are from a Yamaha (not sure what model but light weight)No horn. no keyed ignition. no directionals or battery.  Runs directly off the motor with a battery eliminator kit.  I've never had a problem with it. I added a check valve for the oil bag as it will sump without it.  No guages.     HistoryPurchased from the estate of a collector in Philadelphia.  I bought it (not running) 5 years ago.  Did everything needed for restoration.  A great period piece with tons of patina and character.  I have a clear title and a notarized letter from the estate of the previous owner.  Milage is unknown   Shipping and PaymentAs it is where it is.  Payment in full via Paypal only.  Shipping is the buyers responsibility.  I've had good luck with Keyboard Motorcycle shippers. Please ask all questions before bidding as all sales are final. I have videos of the bike running that I will post to you tube (didn't know how to include them in the auction. Good luck and happy bidding.  It's a great bike and I'm sorry to see it go but tuitions are due soon. Don't bid unless you're you've asked all questions and are ready to buy.  I have perfect feedback and intend to keep it that way
