1968 Suzuki T500 Cobra

For sale as a restoration project is my 68 Cobra

It is a matching frame and engine numbers bike

It has only done 11500 miles

It appears to be complete with the exception of the exhaust baffles

I have not tried to start it. but don't see why it would not run

It kicks over with good compression. the carb slides move on the throttle

The clutch operates and the gears select

The engine has no fin or casing damage and looks totally unmolested

The airbox and carb rubbers are still fitted

The seat base is solid and in nice condition. just needs a new cover which are available on ebay

The chrome on the wheels is very good. as it is on the mudguards. chainguard. handlebars etc

The clocks appear in good condition with grey cables

The handlebars are the originals with the electrical wiring running through them which are probably impossible to find now in such good condition

Both brakes operate

The frame and swing arm are in original paint and are rust free

If you are looking for a early T500 to restore then this bike is well worth considering

It is not UK registered. but is on the HMRC NOVA database to help the registration process
